Family owned and run, our ethos at Mango is simple: What do we look for when we’re dining out? Delicious food made for sharing and tasting lots of flavours, a strong range of drinks, a fun, relaxed environment as well as friendly staff and feel-good soul music! And that’s what we aim to offer to our guests.
We have 3 Mangos in Southampton, each with their own unique identity and likeness to places we’ve visited in Thailand. In Portswood you’ll find Chiang Mai the northern capital; bohemian, quirky and understated. On Above Bar street unwind into Island life with cocktails and Ko Phi Phi beach vibes; and Ocean Village: the ‘Shangri-La’ of Bangkok meets Boho Bali Chic, paying homage to our original Thai Tapas idea, where everything really is Thai Tapas sized – perfect for enjoying a drink or three!
The great thing about Thai food is the nature in which it is traditionally eaten. Eating is the most social aspect of Thai life and Thai people love sharing food! Traditionally, the table host orders to suit everyone’s tastes – salty, spicy, sour & sweet, and dishes are presented for all to share. This way of eating is the basis of our menu. Our tapas of Thai appetiser favourites and in-house culinary creations give you the opportunity to share a variety of tastes from the menu, and enjoy them together!
We are very lucky to work with an expert team of Thai Chefs. Everything on our menu is made in-house and freshly prepared to order every day. Spices are specially imported from Thailand and whenever possible only fresh ingredients and locally sourced meat is used. Much of our menu is cooked to order, allowing us to cater well for veggies, vegans, and gluten-free diets.
