We are currently seeking part-time members of staff to join our Thai kitchen teams at Mango Portswood, Above Bar and Ocean Village. Full-time positions are available for the right candidates.

Job availability

Part-time roles are available, with full-time hours for the right candidate and opportunities to progress within the company.

You must be available to work evenings, weekends and special dates. If you are a student, you must be in Southampton during non-term time.

N.B. Due to the nature of our business, candidates must be aged 18 and over.

You’ll be joining the Mango Portswood restaurant, one of three independently owned bar & eateries in Southampton serving delicious Thai Tapas and original, exciting cocktails. You will be responsible for running day to day operational aspects of the restaurant including supporting the manager in recruitment, training, stock management, cash management and all aspects of health and safety. But first and foremost running great shifts on the floor and giving our guests a great experience will always be your priority.

You will need to be available for a minimum of 35 hours per week including evenings, weekends and the holidays.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting in the running of daily front and back of house operations working in synchrony with our kitchen team including managing staff rotas, stock, ordering and customer bookings

• Creating and maintaining a feel-good, energetic atmosphere in the restaurant

• Championing Mango’s high standard, ensuring an excellent level of customer service

• Ensuring the venue is always clean, organised and presentable, in-line with health & safety standards
