you will be responsible for running day-to-day operational aspects of the restaurant including supporting the manager in recruitment, training, stock management, cash management, and all aspects of health and safety, but first and foremost running great shifts on the floor and giving our guests a great experience will always be your priority

you must have previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant, but we will also consider applicants from a bar or busy cafe environment

within your day to day role, you will:
look after a small front of house team of 4-10 staff, manage their performance, motivate and engage them, and use their strengths and skills to suit the shift’s needs, and enhance their abilities to help them grow within the company
lead by example to champion mango’s high standard, ensuring an excellent level of customer service from both you and your team, and creating & maintaining a feel-good, energetic atmosphere in the restaurant
manage staff rotas, ensure time sheets are correct, adapt staff hours on shift to reduce labour costs, make sure we have enough staff for busy periods, and organise cover for shift cancellations
recruit, interview and train new team members
maintain stock levels by making orders, receiving & checking deliveries as they come in, rotating stock, and practising good cellar management
respond to customer bookings and queries, organise reservations, table plans & parties, ensuring everything needed is prepared and ordered ahead of time according to upcoming bookings
maintain customer relations through responding to online customer enquiries, feedback & reviews
ensure the venue is always clean, organised and presentable, and cleaning, opening & closing checklists are followed and maintained
prepare cash drawers and petty cash, and be responsible for daily cash ups
ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines, and maintain a safe working environment
co-ordinate daily operations to work in synchrony with the kitchen team
work with senior managers to drive sales and accomplish business objectives
